APIlation started with one simple question: "how might we help companies monetize their data most effectively? What we quickly discovered was that way too much time and effort went into technology plumbing that only in-the-weeds developers could love. Everybody else's answer to Big Data Analytics involved gluing complex and expensive "stacks" of different technology solutions together - sometimes with little more than developer scripts (the IT equivalent of duct tape).

All that "plumbing" added up to millions of dollars, many months to years, and lots of failed projects. Not to mention having to gather together a small army of solutions integrators, database engineers, data architects, data scientists, UI developers, consultants and the like without seeing very much to show for it at the bottom line.

It was quite obvious that a lot of companies were very tired of spending inordinate amounts of time and immense amounts of money on these large complex technology projects - when all they ever really wanted was find a few valuable nuggets of insights from the mountains of data that they had available to them. They also knew that all that wasted time put them further and further behind more agile leaders. We ALL knew that there had to be a better way. ​



So we asked, "what would we really need to do to make it simple, fast, and extremely effective for our clients?". The short answer:

​We then started from scratch leveraging the latest NoSQL, ML/AI, and UI technologies to build a single platform to do exactly that.
